Ms. Lawrence, who is the firm’s first hire, brings a powerful combination of real estate advisory, nonprofit, and economic development experience to OPEN’s clients.

Prior to joining OPEN, Ms. Lawrence was a Senior Vice President at Citigroup, Citi Realty Services, where she helped develop the bank’s real estate strategy and executed transactions nationally and in South America, Central America and the Caribbean. Her work included land acquisition, office and retail leasing, sale and sale-leaseback transactions, and development agreements. Previously she worked with over 100 nonprofit organizations as senior director for a boutique real estate consulting firm. She has also worked for the Aspen Institute, a global nonprofit organization committed to realizing a free, just, and equitable society, and Seedco, a non-profit dedicated to advancing economic opportunity for people, businesses, and communities in need.
Ms. Lawrence is an ardent advocate for a sustainable and inclusive global future. “Throughout my career, I have been interested in seeing how businesses and nonprofits can address critical social and environmental issues that government alone can’t solve,” said Lawrence. “OPEN has a very tangible, immediate impact on its clients and the work they do, and I am looking forward to being part of the team.”
Ms. Lawrence earned a bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She is an active supporter of The Barrow Group, an award-winning, nonprofit performing arts group, serving as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, Chair of the Real Estate Committee, and a member of its COVID-19 Crisis Task Force. She is a member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment for the Town of Millburn, NJ, and is a licensed real estate salesperson in New York.
